Fashion Idol of the Week- Trang

This week’s fashion idol is Trang of Behind the Seams. Her likes? Everything from classic feminine pieces, to rock chic Alexander Wang inspired outfits. Trang is someone who believes that fashion is a form of art and this is definitely reflected in her daily outfits that are influenced by infamous and less known works of art. What I most admire about Trang is her perseverance to try so many different styles in search of her own signature look but the truth is that no matter what she wears she looks absolutely fabulous as she adds her own flare to everything she puts on. Take a look at what she had to say to us, and then head on over to her lovely blog – Behind the Seams.

the Interview

La Mimi: Name, Location

Trang, Florida

La Mimi:
What has influenced the evolution of your style over the years?
Trang: I find eye candy from runway collections, streetstyle blogs, and fashion editorials truly inspiring.

La Mimi: Why did you choose “Behind the Seams” as your blog name?
Trang: I once came across a t.v. show that mentioned “Behind The Scenes”  So i thought it would be neat to switch the word “scenes” out with “seams” and voila! That was the evolution of BEHIND THE SEAMS blog.

La Mimi: What’s your favorite fashion era and why?
Trang: I love a mixture of the 80′s and 90′s.  Those eras just have a lot of spunk and edge to them!

La Mimi: Do you have a personal style quirk?
Trang: Polished toes/nails!

La Mimi:
What is your next “ must have purchase”?
Trang: Chanel’s Chance perfume

La Mimi: What do you prefer flats or heels?  Why?
Trang: I like them both, but preferably heels. A woman will always feel sexier in some killer shoes.

La Mimi:
What would you never be caught wearing?
Trang: Real animal fur!

La Mimi: What do you feel the best wearing?
Trang: A classic tee and comfortable jeans.

La Mimi: Please share some words of wisdom with La Mimi readers….
Trang: When it comes to fashion, the possibilities are endless!

She has great style indeed, I especially love the top two looks on the right! The one farthest to the right has such a fabulous color palette, I only wish I could pull of that mustard/gold color! ;)
