This week’s fashion idol is Natalia, a girl with big dreams and wild imagination, who is not afraid to experiment and create magic all around her in any way she can.  Whether through her daily outfits, amusing stories or whimsical photo shoots, Natalia manages to take you into her world- where style, beauty and magic collide together. Somehow, Natalia finds a way to indulge in a little piece of childhood every once in a while, which is so precious and important in all of us.

La Mimi: Name, age, location
Natalia, 23, I currently live in Scotland, but I come from Poland.

La Mimi: Where do you get your daily fashion fix?
Natalia: Actually, everything might inspire me or give me a theme for an outfit. I love watching fashion blogs for ideas, or street fashion websites, as well as the streets in my city that are full of inspirations…
Another influence are music and movies, which are my big loves, as well as TV series like Sex and the City, Gossip Girl or Skins. The rest is just in my head, because I believe I’ve got that little bit of inborn sense of style;)

La Mimi: What’s your favourite summer outfit?
Natalia: I’m totally enchanted by nautical looks of any kind and it is my favourite look every summer! I adore stripes, sailor dresses and the navy, white and red colour combination. This summer I intend to wear more floral dresses, which I like toughening up with heavy accessories and studs for that rock chic look. Boho is definitely another big thing and I definitely want to incorporate it into my summer wardrobe.

La Mimi: Describe your personal style…
Natalia: I think it is quite varied. One day it can be very feminine, another it’s very girly and cute. I am a skirt and dress addict and I hardly wear any trousers! Shift dresses and cute little retro dresses are definitely my staples no matter the season of the year. As I’ve mentioned in the previous question I love the nautical theme, which is an epitome of a summer outfit for me. Another big part of my style is rock chic, which is probably influenced by the music I listen to…it’s in a way expressing my music taste and I really enjoy heavy accessories and rock girl garments.

La Mimi: What do you build your daily look around?
Natalia: Living in Scotland, it’s mainly around weather. I call this country the land of constant rains…:)  There is even no real summer here, so my outfits can be pretty much the same throughout the year, the temperatures don’t differ that much. Another influential factor is my mood, and that’s something that cannot be predicted, although it seems to be better when the sun is out;)

La Mimi: What do you splurge on?
Natalia: Mostly dresses and music concerts. I can never have too many dresses, I guess it’s my favourite piece of clothing and it seems that the dresses I buy are more and more expensive!
Another thing is that I’m a music maniac and I always have to go to all of the concerts of my favourite bands that are taking place nearby, and if it was Placebo (my most favourite band) and I would have more money I’d probably be on their every concert around the world;)

La Mimi: Favourite style books?
Natalia: Probably Elle and Vogue…

La Mimi: What’s in your make up bag?
Natalia: I think I’m keeping it to absolute minimum, because I don’t use too much make up and I’m not crazy about brands etc. I’m using a tinted moisturizer instead of foundation as it looks more natural. The other items are: Rimmel’s Transparent Clarifying Powder and coverstick, Bourjois’s Blush (which is my all time favourite and I would never change it to anything else), Maybelline’s Colossal Volume Mascara and Rimmel’s Exaggerate Eyeliner. That’s what I use for an every day make up, I guess the most important parts for me are the eyeliner and the blush…without them I probably wouldn’t leave the house;)

La Mimi: Favorite shopping destinations?
Natalia: It’s mainly H&M and Topshop, both of which I totally adore for the on-trend fashion approach. I love visiting Zara or Dorothy Perkins as well, but my recent biggest love are charity shops! You never know what you’re going to find there, whether it will be something from the high street or some vintage gem!
