I would write 50 or more pages a day, I didn't self-edit much then. Anyway, long story short: I won a national writing award, and then my parents and English teacher and such starting putting massive pressure on me to get my work published, I didn't appreciate it, and some arguments insued, ending with me swearing off writing. I did go back to it, as you can witness from my blog, I think I knew I would always go back to it, some day, but I didn't for a long time, and I've never written any short stories or novels since then.
