Fashion Idol of the Week- Louise

This week’s fashion idol is Louise. I found Louise a while ago on StreetPeeper.com. I instantly fell in love with her elegant and chic Parisian style. As soon as I saw her picture I knew I had to feature her as a fashion idol. Thankfully, one of the comments on her picture had a link to her blog .  Louise is a perfect example of a true French woman- C’est la classique!  She has a natural talent of wearing classically cut fashion in unexpected, yet perfectly elegant way.
Ah, the beauty of the internet! I can virtually have a fashion idol from any part of the world. It’s fantastic!

In this picture Louise is wearing:

  • H&M  dress
  • American Apparel leggings
  • Topshop boots
  • H&M clutch customized with studs

Here is the interview with Louise:
1. Name, age, location.
Louise Ebel, 20 years old, Paris.

2. What do you do for a living?
I’m studying Art history. I also write about fashion and art on my blog and for the website Dirty Glam.

3. Your favorite decade in fashion?
I would say the Directory period, from 1795 to 1799.

4. Where do you draw your inspirations?
I take a little bit of everything from anything around me. When there’s something I like, be it art, or designers or even music. I take inspiration from these things and give my own interpretation through my outfits. It’s a mix of everything—art, costume history, music as well as fashion from the streets and the runway.

5. Favorite designers?
I’m a super-fan of Ricardo Tisci, what he does for Givenchy is fabulous. I also admire Balmain, Luella, Charles Anastase, Alexander McQueen and Rodarte.

6. Favorite shopping destination?
I shop according to my means. At the moment I can’t afford to buy myself tons of designer clothes. In fact that rarely happens to me. I get some of my clothes from Topshop but largely from the thrift shops which allows me a lot of room for creativity. London and Paris are my preferred cities to shop.

7. What current trend are you loving the most?
I’ve always loved lace, but it’s pleasing to see it everywhere.

8. The style you most dislike?
I don’t dislike a particular style. I just don’t like vulgarity.

9. Favorite shoe designer?
I can’t choose between Chrsitian Louboutin and Pierre Hardy. They have such killer heels, It’s almost fetichism.

10. Three words to describe your overall sence of style?
Excentric, feminine, inspired.

I love her all black look. Parisian style is impeccable. I like her answers and she proves once again that you don#t need designer clothes to look stylish and chic.
Hah, I just saw that Sharon Rose used the exact same words to describe her.
Well, I come from the Czech Republic, I only live in Germany and I speak fluent Czech, English and German. I live in a town in the North of Germany, it has about half a million inhabitants. You’re from Canada, aren’t you?
Have a lovely Christmas, my dear!
    xoxo

Mimi, I love the fashion idol of the week feature as I recently started following it and let’s just say its an amazing way to feature stylish bloggers. The best part is the interview as you actually get to know the people and learn something new.. “Directory period, from 1795 to 1799″ I’m on Wikipedia right now.. :)
