Fashion Idol of the Week – Issa

This week’s fashion idol nominee is Issa. She is one of the writers/contributors of WeWearThings. I love checking out their blog to get a peek at the gorgeous outfits and see what Issa is rocking that day. She is a very talented young lady, with a unique sense of style and an extremely friendly personality. A lot of the clothes that she wears are designed by her, as well as handmade. 1. Name, age, location
Issa, 27, texas

2. What do you do for a living?
I am a software quality assurance manager, as well as the only girl in the IT dept at my office. Of course working in IT Dept I get the benefits of a very relaxed dress code which allows me to experiment outfits on a daily basis.

3. Where do you draw your inspirations?
I am completely inspired by fashion blogs and street styles from celebrities to the girl next door. I also love to check out the trends and runway shows online, but I try to stay on a more classic course with bits of trends in my outfits.

4. Favorite designers?
Well…to name a few… I would have to say Phillip Lim, Chloe and Marc Jacobs. For no particular reason other than they are just fabulous!

5. Favorite shopping destination?
While on vacation! Me and the hubby absolutely love shopping while on a holiday… Especially when in Europe or New york! The hubby loves it more, since he rarely shops at home. I love shopping while on vacation because of the different variety of styles, stores and etc. I also enjoy online shopping… Although I have to admit it’s quite a bit harder, because I prefer to try things on first, since I am kind of a hard fit.

6. What current trend are you loving the most?
I am loving tights with everything! It makes short skirts, shorts and mini dresses way more wearable, especially when the weather gets cooler… They just look fantastic with boots!

7. Three words to describe your overall sense of style?
Hmm… A very hard question… since sometimes I feel I don’t stick to a certain genre in fashion…however I would have to say…Feminine, Simple and Playful!
