When it comes to style, some people just have a natural talent of knowing how to work proportions, colors and accessories to create a captivating look. 2. What is the meaning behind the name of your blog- Rougemarie?
There’s not such a deep meaning to it, really. I simply didn’t want a “fashion”, “chic” or “style”-related name, since there were plenty of those already. The idea came from the name of a nail polish shade I loved at the time, and given the fact it actually turned out to be available at blogspot.com, here it is, RedMary:)

3. What makes a person stylish?
His/her personality. It is the person that breathes life into an outfit, not the other way around.

4. What do you splurge on?
Jewelry and skin care. I get tired/bored with clothes and shoes very easily (considering trends and all), but a pair of beautiful earrings and a Chanel creme are always worth the investment.

5. Never caught wearing?
Leather pants/miniskirt.

6. You are so inspirational Ida! I have to confess that I saved one of your pictures in my Inspirational File. Who inspires your style?
First of all, thank you!
There are so many incredibly stylish ladies out there that it is hard to name only a few… I love Brigadeiro’s sophisticated elegance just as much as Karla’s edgy chicness. My biggest source of insiration, though, will always be my sister – she is probably the only person whose (fashion) advice I’d never doubt.

7. What is your personal style quirk?
That’s a tough one… Hm, I never leave my house without earrings on. And I like to match/coordinate each part of my outfit with one another, jewelry included.

8. What do you build your daily look around?
The weather! I hate being cold. I usually carry a blazer or a trench around, just in case…

9. What is your next “must have” purchase?
A statement leather strap watch. It makes all the difference on those made-for-simple-white-tees-hot-summer-days.
