Fashion Idol of the Week- Emma

I get asked a lot how do I find all these amazing fashion idols. Well…quite frankly, it doesn’t take that much work, because there are a vast amount of talented, unique, beautiful people all over the blogosphere that express their individuality and distinctiveness through fashion, so finding them is not a challenge at all. However, what I find difficult is describing, and putting into words, how much each and every single one of them inspires me every week to be different, to be one of a kind….to be myself, no matter what…

This week I present to you Emma. A charming Spanish woman who lives in a magical island- Palma de Mallorca. Style for Emma is a way of self-expression; it’s not something she does to impress others or thinks too much about. For her it’s like art…and every morning Emma wakes up and paints a different picture that transcends her feelings, moods and emotions… Thankfully, all of that art is recorded and posted through her blog- Emma’s Corner.

La Mimi: Name, age, location

Emma, 28, Palma de Mallorca (Spain)

La Mimi: Where do you think your own style comes from?

Emma: I’ve been influenced a lot by my grandma. She’s the most stylish woman in the world.

La Mimi: Has the speed and scale of your success in the blogosphere surprised you?

Emma: Success? Is there any success? Blogging for me is a way of interacting with other people that are interested in fashion as I am! To expect success out of that I think would just be funny…

La Mimi: Define a well dressed woman…

Emma: Less is more. And be careful with color palette, please! Not all the colors match!

La Mimi: Your favourite fashion era?

Emma: I adore the 70’s

La Mimi: What’s one thing every woman needs…

Emma: A good bag, a good pair of shoes, a little black dress. That’s not just one thing, ok… hahaha!

La Mimi: Your photos are sensational, please tell us a little bit about your talented photographer?

Emma: Hahaha! The “talented” photographer is my boyfriend! Sometimes I use a tripod and make the pictures by my self. We bough a nice camera and we both love photography, so every image is choosen carefully.

La Mimi: Have you ever considered a career in fashion?

Emma: No, fashion is just my hobbie!

Emma: Just be happy, don’t waste time, life’s too short.

Wow… I was really impressed with Emma’s effortless style. All of you have to visit her blog and just marvel at the beautiful advertising spread worth pictures that Emma and her boyfriend produces.

If I was a marketing director for a fashion line. I would be calling Emma right now and trying to book her even though she doesn’t want to be in the fashion industry.

At least every other picture screams magazine ad. She can definitely sell some clothes.

Msg to Emma, please consider compiling your best work in a portfolio and sending it to at least 3 fashion houses or modeling agencies.
