Statement-making necklaces were a big hit for Autumn/Winter 08 and since we loved them so much, we decided to keep them for a few more seasons.
The statement necklace is the ultimate accessory for this Spring and Summer. Distinctive and stylish- the statement necklace adds interest to even the most understated looks. Find something that really stands out- the funkier and the bigger- the BETTER. Where can you buy one of these? Well…virtually anywhere! You can find some fabulous choices at your local vintage stores, Forever21, Target, or if you want to spend a small fortune then you can opt for one of these extraordinary creations:

For a day look I wear mine with cami, cardigan and jeans, just like in the picture below. For a night look though I like to wear the statement necklace with just a plain white tank top, some feminine full skirt and red lipstick.

I love the simple daytime look with jeans, it makes the statement necklace much more conceivable than it is in the model pictures above… you know how things always look great on models but are hard to picture on yourself. Personally, though, I’m not over the extra long necklaces yet, I don’t think I’m ready to trade them in!
