Trend Alert: Oversized Sweaters

There is nothing better than an oversized sweater to warm you up on cold winter days. I practically live in them all winter, because an oversized sweater is not only warm but also cozy and chic. Staying stylish is a piece of cake when you are wearing one, so it’s good to have a few different oversized sweaters in different colors and styles, to be able to create different looks and outfits. It’s a very versatile peace, because of its fit you can wear it as a top with jeans or leggings, or wear it as a dress with opaque tights. To dress it up and make it look more interesting wear a vest over it and a statement necklace.

Where to find an oversized sweater? Well…a lot of stores like H&M and Zara carry great and affordable selections of sweaters. Just make sure to get a size bigger than you normally wear or another great option is to shop in men’s section of those stores. Don’t want to spend any money? Then head over to your boyfriend’s closet. You are sure to find some sweaters there that are a bit too big on you. They will work just fine. Can you tell I do that myself? Haha!

I also LOVE oversized sweaters & sweater dresses… and just like you, so far that’s pretty much all I’ve been wearing (with leggings) Nothing can beat the comfort & warmth of those two pieces in combination together. I love that Philip Lim example that’s in the collage, I’d wear it any day! =)

And this trend is so nice. Especially since you can layer even more warm items underneath like a long sleeve and (multiple) leggings.
Saw a really cute one with a bow on it at h&m today but the quality seemed pretty poor.

Yes, even if you are petite you can wear oversized sweaters. The secret is in proportions. You have to wear a sweater that’s just slightly oversized, it will keep you warm and looking stylish and cute.
So, as long as you don’t get a size too large you should be absolutely fine.
