Trend Alert: Exposed Garter Belts

I am all for women feeling sexy, confident and beautiful, so when I noticed this risqué trend emerging among bloggers and street style trend setters, I just fell in love with it.

Quite frankly, I applaud risky women who are not afraid to experiment with bold and brave style choices. I say if you can pull it off- go for it! The key is to balance the sensual hint of what lies beneath with vintage elegance in a modern flair. But is this trend for everyone? Absolutely not! But that’s not going to stop most of us from trying…Right?

If you like this trend but think garter belts shouldn’t be worn outside the bedroom, then try stay ups with shorts, skirts or dresses. It’s less provocative and much easier to pull off…

John Galliano based his whole Dior Haute Couture 2009 collection on lingerie inspired pieces that screamed luxury seduction. Loves it!

It definitely looks sexy but I don’t think it’s for me… Maybe if I was taller/skinnier model type, but not on my 5’4″ physic… People that don’t know much about fashion would get a different impression for sure… like maybe I just finished my “job” on Jarvis
