Spring/Summer Color Trends for 2009

Are you into styling or do you just like to be ahead of the crowd when it comes to style and cutting edge fashion?  Well in any case, read on to find out the hottest, most beautiful colors for Spring/Summer 2009.

For the past few weeks I’ve been scanning through Spring/Summer Collections of the most fashion influential designers such as Gucci, Dior, Chanel, Balenciaga, Diane Von Furstenberg and many others to determine what colors will be the most perfect for our Spring/Summer wardrobes.

So, what’s the verdict?

NEON bright hues of orange, yellow, pink and blue for those that enjoy the spotlight and all the attention that comes with it. Variations of NUDES and NEUTRALS for our modest classics that like to make a fashion statement without being too bold. I also have good news for those that fancy gold as it will be just about everywhere and anywhere. Ranging from accessories to clothes, this shiny hue will be the highlight of our closets.

Although I didn’t see much of Neon green (lime) color on the runway, I believe and predict it’s going to be very BIG next summer. I’ve been noticing it everywhere lately.  I’m telling you NEON GREEN is stocking me.

According to my analysis strong colors will continue to dominate fashion trends. Bright oranges and blues were present on most catwalks. Whether worn as part of the outfit or as an accessory, these statement colors will undoubtedly help fashionable women and men express their style and personality.

So indulge yourself in these summer brights!

Like I’ve mentioned before, gold was used a lot to either create statement pieces or enrich the look of accessories. Gold is very chick and looks amazing on tanned skin.

Having nudes and neutrals in your wardrobe will ensure that you are always ready for any occasion. Plus, those pieces that you buy will last you a lifetime.

Black never goes out of fashion. It was present on every single catwalk, especially  Yohji Yamamoto, whose entire collection consisted of either head to toe black or black and white pieces. Black symbolizes elegance and glamour, but it is also very practical, making it a perfect choice for women/men that want to look chic, however are lacking time to style themselves.

Purple after its phenomenal success this year will continue leading the fashion trends. Many designers used various shades and tones of purple in their collections from the lightest to the darkest. I think purple is such an exclusive, elegant color that it is destinied to have a long life in the field of fashion, as well as our closets. So, have no fear and invest in some purple pieces, that are sure to enrich your clothing collection!
