Spring 2010 Trend – Ripped Jeans and Torn Denim

You might have noticed this trend emerging on the streetstyle blogs, pages of fashion magazine editorials or among fashion forward celebrities like Taylor Momsen, Rihanna and Rachel Bilson.  Yes, indeed the ripped denim trend is back in full force.  I love torn denim, so I wear it every once in a while whether in fashion or not. I think we are at a point, where certain clothes like ripped jeans can be safely categorized as a basic, as opposed to a trend. What do you think?  The only thing that changes from season to season is the style of jeans. Right now the most popular ones are either skinny or boyfriend jeans.

Will you be sporting ripped denim this year?

    What a gorgeous coat, darling!!!!
    You look so beautiful.

I’m not spotting this trend, because I don’t wear jeans at the office (and it’s not office appropriated). I could think about the weekends… but…

However I think there’s people like you that really rock it :)

    Love

    xoxo

Love this look! (by the way love the jacket Mimi very cute) Though I will say that you shouldn’t have jeans that are obviously just a junky old pair this look should be done in a fashion forware manner. A lot of girls at my highschool wear ripped up nasty looking jeans that are so not trendy they ust lood OLD!

oh perfect, I am just in trend with old jeans…. : )

I think that ripped denim is never truly out because it’s worn so often and there is a feeling of comfort in breaking in your own perfect pair of jeans.
I love your look, with the blouse and the bright jacket… not quite so typical, which is nice.

Glad they’re back in because I shelled out $215 on a pair of True Religion ripped jeans, and another $140 on these Armani Exchange ripped jeans. Both are so ripped that I never really wore them. Guess I’ll start wearing them here and there, even though ther are boot-cut. Whatever. I’n not that into fashion nowadays like how I was back then.
