Trend Alert – Shimmer and Shine
Submitted by Mimi on Friday, 25 September 200912 Comments
Sparkle, shine and sh-sh-shimmer! Once reserved for cocktail parties and the holiday season, sequins and other shimmering materials have become suitable for everyday wear. Injecting a bit of shimmer into your standard daytime ensemble will definitely help shake things up a bit this fall. Designers from New York, Milan and Paris offered a treasure trove of dazzle on their runways.
Thankfully I’ve collected quite a few eye catching items over the years, so most likely I won’t be buying anything new, unless I find something very special. In that case I can make an exception. Right?
What do you dolls think of the shimmering look for daytime? Are you inspired to try it out or is it too much dazzle for you? Discuss!

I am all about this trend. I love how glamorous and sexy it makes you feel!
Glamorous!
I have got a shine BCBG MaxAzria blouse…love it…
XoXo
I loooove that balmain dress!! but unfortunately it’s unfairly expensive
Anything shiny or shimmery are perfect in my books!
If you ask me, you can NEVER have too much shine, shimmer & GLAMOUR!! I am all about looking fabulous, and adding a bit of shine to your wardrobe can do no harm… I’m loving all the examples you featured… especially that GORG Balmain dress… =)
So pretty and at least they are not clingy. clingy will show every lump and bump
I’m not a fan of head-to-toe all-over sequins but for the most mundane reason ever: they can be kind of scratchy.
Absolutly!!!!
Have a nice weekend, dear
xoxo
