Current La Mimi Obsession- Ripped Jeans
I have always had a soft spot for ripped jeans. I remember ever since I was a little girl and was finally allowed to use scissors; I would secretly start cutting out holes in my jeans, make shorts out of an old pair or jeans and other fun DIY projects. My parents would freak out, saying that it looked ridiculous and that people would make fun of me if I wore them, but I didn’t really care…I felt compelled to do more-destroying one pair after another. It’s really addicting! Eventually they got used to it and left me alone. I’m not going to say I had started the trend back then, but the ripped jeans did become quite popular back in early 90’s.
There is something so effortless and laid back about ripped and torn jeans look that I believe it never really goes out of style. However, lately their popularity has been on the rise again, as stars like Rihanna, Cameron Diaz , Megan Fox and others have started to embrace this rugged rock look.
What do you think? Are you a fan or not?

Loves the soft rip on my jeans but not too much! Specially with the right accessories, as you say Mimi, the less the more
and I loved it all..
Looking just fine as you always do!

I’m also a fan of this trend… It really is a laid back and comfy look. You’re looking beautiful as always! Love the whole look! =)
Hi Mimi, I think you definitely look good in them! Not sure if I could pull it off though:P
Ohhh……I love ripped jeans, especially in the summer time…Luv ur outfit…tres cute, especially the purse and shoes
Modestly ripped is very chic. Your look is chic!
I’ve seen ripped so the butt checks were showing, and that is trashy.
I own one ripped pair and they are loose fitting. It seems like the tighter fit is what is in style.
Hi there-you look gorgeous and your pair just rocks, its a great trend to see back in fashion again!
u r sooooo beautiful Mimi…..and the ripped look will never go away, it will continue to live on in some reimagined fun time after time….i prefer the DIY version….why pay for something you can make yourself??

Mimi I love your jeans.
You have great syle!
Loving the ripped jeans look!
Ripped jeans are are surefire way to grab some attention.
I’ve loved ripped jeans since the early 90′s. Back then I’d have rips in the knees , all along the thighs and even across the butt – hey, that was the style back then :0
Now, just a couple of rips at the knees and a few tiny ones here and there are the way to go.
Love your ones too
