Nautical Vibes Inspiration

Nautical Vibes Inspiration

Who  says you have to own a yacht  to dress nautical?

My obsession with striped sailor shirts is well known amongst my friends and family. In fact, I have a whole collection of them in all different colors ( navy stripes, grey stripes, red striped)  and styles ( round neck, v- neck, boatneck).  Quite frankly, I think it’s because nothing else embodies French chic as a striped sailor shirt. And if you happen to add white denim jeans and some gold accessories, then you are channeling Nautical- a classical look that never goes out of style.

Pretty much every year there is a new variation of the Nautical trend.  A good example of that would be D&G  Spring/Summer 09 collection which I fell in love with!  I admire how Dolce and Gabbana  used red and orange, adding small accents  to spice up the look from strict to saucy! Oh, and let’s not forget the “fishnets” that were worn by every second model… That was just truly genius!

Inspired by all that beauty I recreated my version of it.

Will you be channeling the feelings of the beach, the ocean and the waves ?

I love this look! I also paired it with a casual trench and a nautical purse back on April 22. My Vogue issue inspired me.

I love how you added the scarf. So chic!

Mimi! I’m echoing the sentiments of everyone here but YOU ARE SO PRETTY! Not fair haha

Yes, the nautical trends never seem to disspiate. Seems like its transcended that title no? On an update I still havn’t found an affordable Eckart Tollie book so will be mishing my way to the library soon to check out whether they have a copy. Cannot wait to read it. From your mentions it seems like this would be a great novel to read at my current stage in life.

Oh and YES Mimi shoes! I was hoping you’d pick that up! haha

    xx

    Mimi,

You look hot and oh so gorgeous!!! Love the flower, scarf and chain!!!

I will be spending a few weeks in France this July and if my by-then 6 month prego belly looks ok in horizontal strips, I will certainly be sporting the look! One of my faves while in France… they do it so well over there!

    Love your inspirations.
    Have a fabulous weekend,
    K

    Hello Samantha!
I know, I’ve also been obsessed with anchor pendants ever since I saw Shopaholic, where Isla Fisher wore Betsey Johnson anchor necklace:

it’s on Sale for $ 77, plus there is another cute necklace from Forever 21 for only $5
