Heels are Higher Than Ever

Heels are Higher Than Ever

Shoes are such an interesting and sexy subject that I could talk about them for hours or maybe even days.  But seriously, I might be obsessed with shoes or so I’m told by my boyfriend, and umm…mom, dad and a few dozen other people.

In my opinion, a girl can never have enough high heels! I have noticed a while ago the magical power shoes can have on people. Think of the time you put on a pair of “the perfect heels” and how it made you feel? It instantly changed your mood, making you feel more positive and confident. They also make you look taller which gives an illusion of longer and leaner legs. Oh, and let’s not forget there is no other clothing item that generates sex appeal like high heels.

Now tell me, how can I ever say “NO” to a new excitin pair of SHOES that has so much power?

In the past, heels were saved for special occasions. However, nowadays we wear them everywhere: office, corner store, date, even for a walk in the park. (Well at least I do…ha-ha…I told you I was obsessed)

Recently, designers such as Balenciaga, Givenchy, Christian Dior and others featured sky high sandals, pumps, ankle booties with sneaky platform that gives a bit of support, making it a tiny bit easier for us to walk in them. We can all agree that high heels have never been so maxed out before.

Now my question to you guys is- What do you think of these sky high heels? Are you up for the challenge of  this shoe trend?  How far will you go in the name of style and fashion?

happy holidays! I finally had a chance to sit down and comment back, so just wanted to say thanks for the comment on wewearthings! As for the heel trend, as long as the girl stays shorter than me, it is cool. But they must remain short enough so that one leg flips up during a kiss haha

Honestly… have you ever seen an old woman’s feet after years of wearing shoes that were too tight, too high, too small????

    Awful. Just Awful.

These are GORGEOUS… but you shouldn’t sacrifice feeling good for looking good…

    after all…

Isn’t looking good ALL ABOUT feeling good????

    Hey LizaBaiza!
Thank you for an interesting comment. You do have a point. I agree that wearing uncomfortable shoes ( and not just heels) can damage more than just your feet, it’s bad for your spine, posture and etc. However, I am a firm believer that heels should be investment pieces. I have plently of high heels that I’ve worked in for eight hours ( and that’s walking around and stuff) and I had no pain in my feet afterwards. Yet again, those are usually heels that I’ve purchased for rather a little fortune. To be honest, I’m so used to heels that I do feel more comfortable and confident wearing them , as opposed to flats. But that’s just me and my opinion :)

Okay, i must admit, i am totally in love with the givenchy zebra heels, and the prada is practiclly TD4 ( btw if, you don’t talk seattle, that meens to die for…) yeah, i totally agree that you can’t have enough heels, ever! lately in the collections of about 20 different designers, they are really starting to be imaginitive with heels, take a look at Elle, the feb. 09 , like you’ll see a whole bunch of all that. and even though heels do hurt quite a bit sometimes, they totally have the power to give your look a whole new meaning.
