Gaspard Yurkievich Spring/Summer 2009

Gaspard Yurkievich is a very talented French designer. He is famous for his unexpected, creative, youthful and energetic designs that are favoured by the young fashion forward men and women. His new Spring/Summer 2009 collection is full of sequins, lace, miniskirts, fringe details on clothing, knee high and over the knee stockings. I love Gaspard’s work for his eccentric touch to the clothing that nevertheless works perfectly to create unassumingly stylish designs.

Here is a video of his Spring/Summer 2009 collection.  Watch it . Enjoy it.  Let me know what you think of it.

Very interesting style…Quite unexpected and great attention to detail…I can’t say I’m a total fan, it’s a bit too eccentric for me, but I’d certainly wear select few items from this collection. Thanks for sharing Mimi!

Yes, very interesting and intriguing. I liked a lot the details, as you say the sequins and also the exposed zippers, the cropped pants (which can be unflatering…)…
I’m sure it will be a source of inspiration.
    Thanks for sharing my darling.

    Have a gorgeous 2009!!!

Overall, I think his spring collection is very different from other designer runways. The colors don’t scream…

And he could of pick better tune for the runway.. but he is an artist and I guess this is the way he pictured it.
