Flats are back for Spring 2010

As sad as I am to admit this, as I’m definitely a heel’s girl. I practically live in them. Flats are going to be huge this upcoming spring and summer. It was quite shocking to see most designers base their whole Spring 2010 collection on flats. Well…I guess our feet need a break from the crazy, towering shoes we’ve been wearing the last couple of years. But in defense of heels, most flats are super unflattering and make even the tall and skinny models look short and stumpy. Also, most foot experts warn that you face as many risks wearing flats as you do teetering on heels. So, what to do? Always alternate your shoe style – from high to low, trainer to boot – and avoid wearing a particular pair day in, day out. So take note girls. And put those extreme heels in storage!

Are you happy or sad that flats are going to be more popular than heels for the next year or so?

I love flats and I saw a great flats with jewels in Diffusione Tessile (MaxMara outlet), but I have got a dilemma…LOL!

I also love flats, and I’m actually excited that it will actually be “in”. I love heels though, so not sure if I’d pack away all of them… a good balance I think is important. Plus depends on the outing and the occasion.
