Do you wear your winter sandals?

Do you wear your winter sandals?

The winter sandal trend has been exposed all over magazines and runways, worn with lovely colorful tights and dresses or with socks and jeans. However, how realistic do you think  it is to be walking in open toe sandals in the cold winter? Perhaps you live in California or Australia and you never really get the real chilly weather, in which case I’m sure you have been gracing your feet with fancy gladiator sandals. I’m curious to know of those that live in colder parts of the world like myself and whether you’ve embraced this unusual trend, disregarding the weather.

We got a lot of snow here in Toronto this winter and the temperature is always below zero, so regardless of how much I’ve anticipated wearing my winter sandals ,I had only done it a few times so far. To my delight it hasn’t snowed in the last couple of days, so I decided to wear one of my favorite winter sandals I got in the fall. Mind you, I was still driving, so I didn’t really have to walk much outside.
Here is a picture for proof.  My friend  and I went to Starbucks to enjoy Peppermint Mochas and she was kind enough to snap a few shots of me.

Yeah, no! Just like you, I could not imagine wearing the sandals while there is snow on the ground. Somehow, the prospect of walking around with wet feet doesn’t appeal to me! I’d rather wear my chic and comfy booties, and leave the sandals for days that the ground is at least dry from the snow and the ice…You, my dear, however, are looking Fab! Love those shoes, sexy mama!!

You loook so great my dear!
Well, I’ve no winter sandals… no.
I like them, but I thought I would wear them, not because of snow, but because of water… it rains a lot on the island.
So I wasn’t feeling to be with my toes all wet ;)

Hope everything is great with you sweetie.
    Love

    xoxo

I like wearing sandals with wool socks or stockings. It keeps my feet warmer. Closed leather shoes or any closed shoe turns cold and in turn makes my foot cold. This does not happen with sandals. The wool socks also do not allow snow to permeate or soak into them. Also, even if your feet are cold, they sweat, so that makes you even colder in a closed shoe.
