The Little White Dress

One of my favourite things to wear on those hot summer nights is the Little White Dress. That’s right ladies…Little black dress retires from my closet in the summer and the little white dress takes its place. How else would I show off my summer tan?
Just like an LBD , little white dress is one of the most versatile pieces out there. There is about a million different ways you can wear it. And because you will style it up differently every time, it will seem like you are wearing a different outfit.

I’d like to think of little white dress like a white canvas over which you can create different looks. Some of my fave ways to style a little white dress is with a summer scarf and flats, or with a statement necklace, cinch belt and high heel sandals, or for a more casual day look with a vest over it and converse shoes. The options are really countless, depending on what you already have in your wardrobe.

Interesting point here is we all talk and talk about the Little Black Dress, we give it so much importance that there is the infamous ‘LBD’ abbreviation in every fashionistas vocabulary, but, we forget the importance of a Little White Dress and the fact that it has as many assets as the LBD.

Love white dresses! They can be tricky if not lined with the whole panty thing, yes… even with a skin colored thong but I am on the lookout for one to pack in my suitcase to France!
French women pull off white so well {as they also tan well} so I’ll have some competition and loads of inspiration.

White visually increases the size, as opposed to black that makes you look smaller. However, regardless of your size, you can still pull of a white dress. I’d probably recommend and A line or flared version, since it’s more flattering and instantly creates an hourglass:)

I love this trend! We have a lot over at MyShape, and I have a couple myself. I like to pair mine with gold accessories–headband, some bangles usually, a skinny belt and sandals. It sort of reminds me of a greek goddess
