Look Your Best
Have you ever noticed that when you look great you feel completely different? It’s proven that looking your best makes you feel more confident, energetic, and even happier. Best of all, it only takes a bit of effort to put yourself together in the morning. This extra effort will make such a significant difference in how you feel that you cannot afford to leave the house looking anything but your best.
One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned in my life is to always look your best, no matter how down or stressed I might be feeling. In fact, one of the remedies that I use when I’m down is to dress up to give me that needed boost.
Take out that make up bag and start playing with it, try doing something different to your hair or play dress up. All those things will spark up natural creativity and instantly boost your mood, making you feel hundred times better.
Let me be clear though. I’m not talking about being perfect here, but rather making the best of what we were naturally given by nature. Quite honestly some days I look like a complete mess in the mornings, but I’ve learned not to make myself feel bad about it. I just laugh it off and know that in less 30 minutes, I can make myself look like a complete knock out. With help of a flat iron, a bit of makeup and clothes/accessories/colors that flatter my complexion I perform a little makeover of my own.
I believe we all deserve and owe it to ourselves to always look our best, because we never know what opportunities might come our way today. Face it- there were probably times in your life when you had your chance but because you didn’t look or feel your best, the opportunity passed on by. Don’t let that happen again, life is too short to not give a 100% everyday.
What are your thought on this subject? How do you keep yourself motivated to look your best? Do you have any additional tips on looking your best?

oh yesss, that’s so true! love that post!
You are so right!
I also use it as a remedy, I instantly feel better!
I have the option to wear jeans to work, but I don’t because I feel more professional and confident when I dress up a little bit for work, and I am sure people get that impression just by looking at me.
Gorgeous post, darling La Mimi!

I love this post, Mimi! So happy that you brought it up. I could NOT agree with you MORE! When I look my best, I feel completely differently about myself, and in return have more confidence in how I approach situations or people that I face. I cannot imagine living my life without putting in that extra bit of effort to always look your best. Or at least try. And of course, it should be “allowed” to have some days when you just let go and be as you are. But for the most part, try your best, to look your best, and you will see the difference for sure! Thanks for this post, I loved it! xoxo
Great post! I totally agree. When I am in a hurry and I just put on some clothes without thinking I feel different than when I make an effort. I like to do my best and I feel best when I am confident about my look
U r so right! When I like what I’m wearing and feel confident in it and myself, my whole day turns around!
you are so right. looking my best always make me feel more productive even if i am just working at home by myself. : )
So true. When I have a ‘ i hate my fill in the blank’ days, it doesn’t help to wear a pair of old, too tight jeans and mope all day. Nothing like a skirt and some heels to make me feel sassy again.
I have to laugh at your comment about looking like a mess in the morning and then becoming a knock-out with the help of a straightening iron and some make-up. Haha, I went to high school without the help of a straightner (those steamy things don’t count) and hair was much less fabulous back then. The straightner has definately upped the beauty ante.
sometimes it can be tough. If I feel blah I grab some lovely black clothes and I spray tan and get a mani/pedi and then I feel like a million bucks!
Oh man, what would I do without eyeliner and a hat, excellent ways to turn blah days to wow days, especially since it’s the winter! Won’t look crazy if I’m super bundled up! Great post Mimi! Keep ‘em coming!
wonderful post. I love dressing up!!
so true!!
I love the second picture! It´s amazing!
I wish you a happy new year!
This is the power of Image. At the Conselle Institute of Image Management, we teach every student that the way you look affects how you think, how you feel, how you act and in turn how others react to you. Look good and you feel good. It’s definitely the biggest pick-me-up!
I definitely agree this is a good habit! When I wear a bit of makeup and dress my best I always feel more confident. And how many times have you gone out looking like a bum and so a cute guy thats never good!
