Lovely – and it is great to learn that some of the proceeds for the scarves go to help Nepali women and children in the fields of education and healthcare! A quick search of the internet will show you: according to the ILO the rate of adult female literacy in Nepal sits at 35% (compared to 63% for men). Also, 2006 stats show that 1 in every 200 pregnant women in Nepal dies giving birth, which compares to 7 in every 100,000 in Canada.
