How to Wear a Menswear Vest
Women have been stealing and borrowing clothes from men for a really long time. First it was the pants, then blazers, cardigans, vests and even menswear inspired shoes. Why do we do it? Because we can! Ha… No, but seriously there is a certain edge and sexiness to clothes that are men inspired and the best part- it never goes out of style.
I have recently got a fashion dilemma question from one of my readers, who purchased an oversized vest; however had no idea on how to wear it.

The reason men’s clothes look so good on us is due to the clashing of two opposite worlds- masculinity and femininity. Keep that in mind when you wear your an over-sized vest, don’t forget to add some unexpected feminine touches such as a brooch or ruffles in your top or skirt. Whatever works for you, just be creative! The least thing you want to do is end up looking like a man.

I’ve been interesting in trying out an oversized mens vest as a dress!
Nice tips! I have a black satin halter vest which fits pretty tightly. In the winter I paired it with skinny jeans, two-tone T-strap heels, and a deep purple button-down shirt. For summer I think I’ll wear it with a white cami, turquoise skirt, straw fedora, and gold leather cork wedge sandals.

Good advice too! As for me I like wearing my vests with minimal anything underneath because it always appears more sensual that way or with a collared shirt underneath to amplify that androgynous look!
