Dress Your Body

Funny how society forces us to crave that 6 foot tall, skinny model body. For a very long time, I had also been a victim of that dream. As long as I can remember myself, I have been fascinated by the fashion world, so  when I was young I only thought it was natural for me to become a model once I was tall enough.

Except that the time never came. I stopped growing at 5’5 and that was the end of that dream. At the time I was devastated, but now I understand that there is a reason behind everything.  I have a different path in this life and the body that I have has been specifically designed for the life and experiences that I am living.

Many women are wrongfully convinced that their bodies are flawed in one way or another. They say: I’m too fat, too short, too skinny, I hate my ankles, my chest is too big, so I have to hide it, or it’s too small so I refuse to wear a bathing suit and the list goes on. [SinglePic not found]

Can you recognize yourself in any of those statements? Well…I can… However, after reading many books on the topic and taking various personal development courses, I have grown to have a different relationship with my body! Finally, I came to the realization that our body is our home and we should treat it like we own it, not renting it!
