Best Holiday Gifts for Him

Best Holiday Gifts for Him

Whether you want to admit it or not, but Holidays are coming. Every year I make up a plan of definite people I will be exchanging presents with and approximate estimate of a budget for every single person on that list. I try to stick to that budget, but more than once in the past I have gone way over that budget unintentionally, of course. Now, this year I am on a strict budget due to overspending on my travel budget, so I have to be very strict with myself.  Ughh!  You see, I tend to get carried away when I’m shopping for other people because I enjoy it so much, probably more than shopping for myself. But I promise to try my best!

Today we are going to talk about the male population of your gift list. For me it will be my boyfriend, dad and a couple other guys. Again first step is to determine your ideal budget for each person and keep in mind their interests, hobbies, taste in clothes and etc. Remember, you are not shopping for your inner male! Make sure to ask for a gift receipt just in case, which I’m sure you are not going to need if you follow these easy steps and ideas.

Here are some ideas for those on a budget:

1. Money tree for prosperity. This will definitely be the top selling gift this holiday season as it has been a very tough financial year for everyone. Cheer him up by buying him a Bonsai Money Tree for his work or home. It might be the best investment made as it might bring both  you more money in 2009.

2. Lingerie for Yourself. Yes ladies, you read that right! Treat yourself with new set lingerie with a sexy garter belt and stockings. Then treat him with a seducing dance with a little fun afterwards. Both of you win!

3. Desk Organizer. Does your guy always ask you this question- “Have you seen my wallet?”  Most guys are a mess when it comes to their personal belongings and always lose their keys, watches, etc. Help him stay organized by buying him a desk organizer. The Nautica Organizer pictured below is on sale now for $27 but it sure looks like a fancy gift.

4. A great book on a topic of his interest or any of other books worth reading (money management maybe?). In financial uncertain times that we are living in today, Now, Discover Your Strengthsby Marcus Buckingham would be a good pick as it will help your man find his true strenghts and  maybe even start a career that he will be really passionate about.  Personally, I have given The Alchemist  by Paulo Choelo as a present to my boyfriend and a few other people and they very much enjoyed it.

5. A desk clock in a shape of his favorite animal, hobby, or sport. You know him better so you are obviously a better judge.

6. Personalized keychain. A personal touch makes it more special and proves you don’t have to spend a fortune to show that you care. You buy it and engrave it at a mall near you.

Here are some ideas for those lucky ones with no limits:

1.  A Nice Cologne. My favorites are Azzaro Chrome, Mont Blanc, Givenchi and Jean Paul Gaultier.

2. Stylish Cashmere Sweater to keep him warm on those cold winter days.

3. Laptop case disguised as a briefcase. Whether men want to admit it or not but they all secretly wish they carried bags like us. Briefcase below is from Kenneth Cole.

4. Prestigious Pen. Mont Blanc, Parker, or Porsche. It is a must for those signing big cheques. Opt out for a S.T. Dupont

5. Designer Watch. Although my boyfriend has at least 5 watches he always wants more. Watches for men are like purses for women, at least this is what my boyfriend says. Here are some of my boyfriends favorites:  Ulysse Nardin, Audemars Piguet, and his favorite A. Lange & Sohne Gents Watch for ONLY $33 950.

6. Now if he has way too many watches, then a perfect way to keep them organized is to give him a Watch case for collectors.

7. Good quality cashmere scarf. It will add style, cofmort and warmth to his everyday life.
