5 New Habits for a Better Life

New Year is a perfect time to challenge yourself to become better, stronger, wiser, happier and more peaceful. Any experiences you are craving in your life can come true, but first you have to make a pact with yourself and keep it. In order to have a better life, you need to have better habits. It is as simple as that. In life, there are no good or bad people, there are just good or bad habits and as long as we can learn to be aware of them and are able to change them, which subsequently will transform our lives for the better. It’s all in your power.

5 New Habits for Better Life

1. Laugh everyday- They say a day without laughter is a day wasted and it really is true. Laughing is a great way to reduce stress, and strengthen your immune system. So why not do it every day?

2. Dance at least once a week- Dancing is good for your body and soul. No need to go to clubs if it’s not your thing. Just blast up some music and dance to it in the comfort of your own home. My life has truly changed this year because I started taking salsa classes and dancing regularly. It’s one of the best things that happened to me.

3. Call your friends instead of texting, Tweeting or Facebooking - Technology has made it easier to communicate with our friends, but we can all agree that quality is always valued higher than quantity. Your friends will appreciate a real phone call much more on their birthdays as opposed to a post on their Facebook wall or a mass text message with holiday greetings.

4. Take Risks – Yes, I know it’s hard. But there is really no time to be afraid anymore.  Life is here and now!  “You have to take risks. We only understand the miracle of life fully when we allow the unexpected to happen” – Paulo Coelho, Novelist.

5. Be yourself – Try to find yourself and your own unique signature style rather than trying to be of the moment or fit in . Challenge yourself to be 100% real with everyone you encounter. People might judge you and try to change you on the surface, but that’s okay, because inside they will admire you for your courage to be different and honest. At the end of the day, the only person that has to love you is you. No matter how much you pretend, if you are not being yourself you will never find true joy in anything.

Don’t care who likes you or not, don’t care if anybody talks behind your back. as long as you have your friends and they are real friends everthing will be ok. and bear in mind: “hate me or love me but at least they talk about me”
So don’t be afraid or ashamed of being yourself and always say what you think and feel!

Wish you a happy new year, honey!
