Who is Your Fashion Icon?

Who is Your Fashion Icon?

It is fascinating to see how some celebrities inspire the fashion world. From season to season, fans look up to their favorite stars to give them inspirations and guidance towards the latest clothing trends. Now, I personally try to steer away from being a fashion victim and avoid most of those  passing  fads, however, out of natural curiosity I still like to be informed of what the stars are rocking this time of the year.

Recently while doing a survey, I was asked to name my fashion/style icon and to be honest I had a hard time answering that question. I mean there are many famous people that have or had incredible sense of style that I admire such as Coco Chanel, Audrey Hepburn, Kate Moss, Stacey London, etc. But somehow I had a very difficult time picking just ONE.

Are there any celebrities that inspire your style?

Do you, my dear readers have any particular fashion/style icon?

You know, just like you, I don’t really have one…I admire and draw inspiration from a lot of women out there, but to say that I have one idol…Not quite. I sort of do what feels right to me, it’s gotta make you feel good, whether or not it’s in style etc…But what a great post, I’m curious to hear what others have to say… =)

I guess if I had to pick one, then it would be Sarah Jessica Parker aka Carrie Bradshaw. It’s random, yet sexy and elegant.

Hi there-I agree with Vicky, I adore Carrie (SATC), she has an original, eclectic style and I like how she mixes vintage and modern designer clothes.

    Audrey!! Miss Hepburn herself. :)

She is officially…. (drum roll) ….house trained now. And we’ve been able to teach her “sit”, “stay” and “down” :) yay! I do take more ‘breaks’ in between blogging to play with her though, which in a way, does us both some good. Who can stare at a computer screen for 8 hours straight anyway??

Thanks for the comments and for checking up on us, darling. ;)

I sleep with socks, or else I get too cold; summer or winter, it’s a “thing” I have I guess. A quirk. xx

    Happy Holidays, Mimi!

I like to see which star styles are hot this year too, but I don’t necessarily follow them. Most of them are pretty short-lived, so my fashion icons are those of past decades that are still remembered, for example Audrey Hepburn, who is almost naturally associated with the term ‘style icon’, Twiggy and of course the unbelievable Kate Moss.
So basically I agree with you! Of course, Coco Chanel is one we mustn’t forget. She shaped womenswear forever. Great pics you picked of Audrey and Kate! But to be honest I haven’t heard of Stacey London =/ Who is she?
Ah sweetie, don’t worry about the comments.. I appreciate every comment you send me! And of course I understand that when you have a cold, you want to relax a bit… I hope you get well soon!
I didn’t go shopping on Boxing Day. I’m not sure if the shops have open here anyway. And anyway I got sooo many things for Christmas that I didn’t feel the urge to go shopping again two days after Christmas Eve :)
    Love,
    Cate
