Valentino- The Last Emperor
Mamma Mia! They say Valentino created Glamour, but I think there is so much more that this talented designer who has been part of the fashion industry for nearly 50 years has done for the world of beauty and fashion.
The legendary Valentino Garavani is not only a genius designer who has presented the world of fashion with the most fabulous , delicate Haute Couture collections ever, but he is also a notable artist who has stretched the limits of creativity and exquisiteness beyond what could have ever been imagined in the past.
How do you even begin to build a dynasty like that? What takes you to stay on top of the game for all those years? Well…the movie’s got it all… Cameras followed Valentino, as well as his life and business partner Giancarlo Giammetti for 2 years, shooting their glamorous life, as well as struggles they endured for being part of such fascinating, yet competitive industry.
I have seen parts of the movie here and there, so I’m itching to watch it. The movie is being played in selected movie theaters all over the world, (excluding Toronto at the moment) * sigh*

I absolutely adore his stunning & unique designs and I’m so looking forward to watching this movie. What an amazing opportunity to witness first hand what goes on behind the scenes of such a legendary fashion house… From the looks of it (based on what they show in the trailer), it looks like they didn’t hold anything back and it would be quite interesting to watch the interaction between Valentino and Giancarlo, who is definitely his right hand in everything!! =)
