Yay, it’s fashion week here in Toronto!

The week is full of fabulous shows of emerging and established Canadian fashion designers.

So far some of my favorties include David Dixon, Joeffer Caoc and Lundström.

As a celebration of Barbie’s 50th Anniversary , David Dixon was chosen to design a limited time collection in black, ivory and pink, inspired by Barbie’s premier swimsuit outfit. I found the pieces from the collection to be very cute, gurlie and 60′s inspired.

Joeffer Caoc presented a very futuristic collection that consisted of structural and minimalistic pieces. The clothes weren’t too exciting, yet I have to admit it was still a very wearable collection.

Linda Lundström’s collection totally stole my heart with all the feminine details she added to the coats and dresses. She also used a lot of fur accessories , which instantly add glitz and glamour to any ensemble. I have to mention that Lunstrom offers faux fur options and I truly hope most buyers will opt for that.

It really is exciting to watch & follow all the stunning creations, by so many of our own talented designers this year! I’m loving David Dixon’s designs! Definitely girly and so adorable! =)

Fashion week in your town, that’s so exciting! Did you get to see any shows?
I have to admit I never really heard of any Canadian fashion designers, or if I have, I didn’t know they were Canadian.. So I’m looking forward to being educated now!
Lundström sounds kinda Swedish..
I totally LOVE David Dixon’s Barbie designs, especially the one in the second photo you posted. I want that dress, and it looks great with all the accessories!
I agree with you, I didn’t find the Joeffer Coac collection too exciting.. But then I’m not really into futuristic or minimalist designs.
So, my absolute favourite is the Barbie collection!
