Star Style on Trial – Chloe Sevigny

There are actresses whose style I like and then there are actresses whose style I absolutely adore. Guess where Chloe Sevigny falls? Being one of the coolest contemporary actresses on the planet, I can’t help but LOVE her eccentric style. She is one of those people that stays true to themselves no matter what people or the media say. And I believe it takes guts to do this.

Chloe’s style has been critiqued more often than not, however just like any piece of art “the beauty is in the eye of the beholder”, so regardless of whether people love it or loathe it,  the truth remains the same: as long as people take risks and express themselves through some form of art, they will be happy.
I have recently read in the “Movie Entertainment” magazine that Chloe Sevigny got into acting because of her style! Apparently journalist, Jay Mclnerney, spotted her hanging out around New York City and wrote a seven page ( YES, SEVEN PAGE!)  article about her for The New Yorker magazine, calling her the new “ IT girl”.

You can probably imagine how her life changed after that seven page spread in The New Yorker.  Modelling and acting offers were coming from all over the place. One of her biggest roles to date takes place on the set of Big Love, a TV show about a family of polygamists.
I believe we can all learn from style muses such as Chloe Sevigny to be more willing to take risks rather than settle for safe choices, whether it’s in regards to clothes or life.

She sure is eccentric & diverse! I’ve never paid much attention to her style before, but now that you’ve brought it up, I can’t say I love her style, but there is certainly something charming and unique about her whole look. Good for her for being different and following her own lead! Personally, I am open to experimenting in life and with fashion, as long as I feel comfortable, I won’t care too much what others will think or say =)

that lead picture of her is gorgeous! I have to admit I am addicted to Big Love and it starts again next week-yeah!!!I just love her as an actress-she is so uber cool! I have to admit some outfits have made me wonder what she was thinking(like the one above that looks like an ice skaters outfit), but I think more recently she has looked lovely!

Chloe S is fabulous, she is individual in her style.she is not afraid to do her style wise even when the masses dont quite get it, she was doing the geeky cute girl look years before it became mainstream.she has this terrific rockabiliy thing going.I think the reason why it works so well for her is it is innately her and not a look she is trying to imitate.
love this post my sweet as I adore her and other’s who are fearless in their style,be it whatever.
    big kiss sugar,

oh I love people who risk with the style. I love different and eccentric styles and I don’t like when people look all the same. but I think it’s sad that only a few people risk it.

    have a great sunday! xoxo
