Star Style – Natalie Portman

Star Style – Natalie Portman

Not too long ago I watched a surprising movie called “Paris Je t’aime”. Well, you can’t really call it a movie as several directors put together a number of shorts that didn’t connect. My boyfriend called it a master piece and was shocked that I wasn’t thrilled. Truth be told, the movie seemed rather odd than entertaining. However, there was one great scene that features Natalie Portman as a struggling actress who after some time succeeds in the industry.  The intrigue in the scene is played out by her deaf boyfriend who mistakenly believes that she dumped him. The beautiful scene shows the growth and seeming decline of their relationship.

Natalie Portman is an example of a stylish but sensible girl next door. You could have been in school with her, sitting in the same classroom on a bright sunny day and would have never thought that she would become a movie star. This is the only scene that touched me and it is her natural deamanour that made everything work. Other than that, the movie was a complete mess.

Now let’s take a look at her street style:

Have you seen the movie? And what do you think of Natalie Portmans style?

I love that purple cardigan. Although it’s sort of pricey..but its cashmere. Natalie’s style is always so natural and casual, yet still somewhat feminine and beautiful…

haha of course I would! I feel like I know you too well know for someone i’ve ‘met’ on the internet lol. I’m a curious bugger so wondered many a things while away! haha

Accurate synopsis of Miss Portman. She really does remind me of that classmate you’d never imagine becoming an actress because she just seems so reserved. Good to know that (foir a lack of better words) the move was shite! I will refrain from checking it out!

    Hey Mimi!
I have heard about that film Paris, Je T’Aime! That scene with Natalie Portman you described sounds really impressive. I admire her since I have seen her in Léon. But overall, Paris, Je T’Aime doesn’t sound like my kind of film either. In books, I don’t like short stories either, so I think I wouldn’t like a film with a number of shorts that don’t connect. Actually I’m pretty surprised that your boyfriend liked it! From what I read, it doesn’t sound like the kind of film that men would like!
I do like Natalie Portman’s style, but I don’t think it’s sooo special..
    Kisses and Hugs,
    hope you’re well!

Paris Je t’aime is one of my favourite films of all time… It is a must see! There are deep meaning in each of the stories that are told.

In addition, New York, I love you was also featured at Toronto’s Film Festival… and Natalie Portman played in a different short.

I Love Natalie Portman! She’s a beautiful, sensible woman, with a natural, understated sense of style… Love this purple cardigan and the overall down to earth look. Great post as always! And about the movie, the only reason I would give it a try, is because she’s in it…hehe
