Trend: Braided Hair

Trend: Braided Hair

Braids have been one of the most popular hair trends of 2008 and will still be a favourite this year. Worn by many celebs such as Gwen Stefani, Nicole Richie, Lauren Conrad and etc. Each one of those trendsetters wore their braids differently. Some in a French braid, some in a sloppy braid and some especially lately in a milkmaid braid.
However, none of those celebrities succeeded at inspiring me to braid my hair.

You see, as a child I used to braid my hair all the time. I loved how it left a slight wave in my hair once I took out the braid. Later in high school, I used to wear my hair down or in a ponytail most of the time, but never would I even consider braiding it again. It just wasn’t “cool” anymore.

So, who stirred me to braid my hair today?

This beautiful blond girl, I saw on the street a few days ago. Her hair was naturally wavy and she loosely braided it with a few hair strands falling out here and there. When I saw her I just knew I had to revisit this old hair habit of mine. And I did today!

I love how braiding hair is so easy, yet it allows you to create so many different hairstyles with it, once you have mastered the technique.

So many compliments today that I am considering to braid my hair more often and might even attempt the milkmaid braid.

Do you ladies braid your hair and if yes – What is your preferred style?

MIMI!!!!!! Gorgeous you, you look so lovely!!!!!

Well, my darling, even if I wanted I couldn’t, because I’ve short hair :)

And thank you sooooooooooo much for your soooooooo nice and kind comment on Look 10 for me. I’m excited, but I’m also afraid, because there’s so much great girls there and when we’ll go on vote I’m sure I will not have any vote :( (Well I’m being selfish, and I shouldn’t be)

On another note, I’ve the same mixed feelings about 2012, I’ve been short of time, but when I can I do my researches. You’ve a very interesting point of view. Like you, you know I’m a spiritual (or I try to be) person so I also try to call atention to people for some aspects, and for the importance that even the smallest thing can do to the vibration of the planet.
Oh I so wish we could talk face to face…. :)

Well, my dear you’re such a lovely, nice and kind person, and I love you. I’m sooooooo glad to have met *hug*

By the way, isn’t Nadine lovely?

    Lots of love, gorgeous you
    xoxo

Oh my goodness you are so pretty. Not fair! ^_^ Nice topic too, lately i havn’t been braiding my hair but this reminds me that they’re not confined to little kiddies. As for my preferred type? Loose and wavy just like you’ve worn yours. Anything severe sadly doesn’t suit me at all :(

Babe, i think i need to link you. Hope you don’t mind ;)

Braids are cute and I french braids really can suit anyone I belive. Just don’t leave them in toooo long, your hair will tangle and get matted.

    cheers
