Summer Nail Polish Trends

Nothing says summer like hot colored nail polish! I’m usually not a fan of neons on my nails, however this summer is a definite exception due to a variety of new and different, in fact flattering neon shades available out there in Essie, OPI and other nail polish Summer collections.

Have fun with it by either painting your nails in one bright color or go for a different color on every nail. A little too funky?

Maybe…but who cares as long as you are enjoying the process!

One thing to remember when painting your nails in such bold colors is to try and keep them short, otherwise it won’t be a pretty sight as it might be too much of an overstatement.

What are your feelings on the whole neon look? Fun and sassy or too bold?

Neon nails are cute, especially paired with the blush and nude tones that are so hot this season. They add a pop of colour. I’ve been partaking in that OTHER hot colour trend this season–coral. It really is a delectable colour in nail polish form. Ooh, and I definitely agree with you about keeping nails short. I’ve always had short nails out of practicality, but with such bold nail colours short nails just have a cleaner, more modern look to them.

I love to experiment with colour and am currently sporting a blue one on my hands and a hot pink on my toes… I think it’s a must have for summer! Loves it!

I’m all about it! I have been painting my nails and toes bright yellow for the past few weeks, though I had to ditch it on the nails due to excessive ugly chipping, but my toes are still representin! I was bored at work and even drew purple polkadots on them and I actually like it. Bring on more neon nail polish I say!
