Metallic Nail Polish Trend

Metallic Nail Polish Trend

Are you looking to give your nails a break from all the reds, purples and dark colors you’ve been rocking this fall and winter? Well, look no more. Metallic hues are back in the game. As we are witnessing the return of 80’s fashion, we are also noticing some beauty trends slowly resurfacing from the same era. I just hope the crazy big hair won’t make a comeback.

Silver nail polish is a hot trend right now. It can be seen on the runway and being worn on the red carpet by celebrities such as Kate Winslet, Lindsay Lohan, and Paris Hilton. Metallic shades are neutral and will perfectly work with the rest of your outfit, so you don’t have to worry about color coordinating. Silver nails will highlight your icy winter outfits, bronze will warm up your spring ensembes and gold will shine on the beach in the summer.

Now, if you happen to be a lucky enough  living in a warm place all year long then you can go ahead and sport all these metallics.

How do you feel about going for the metallics?  Is it something that you’ll be wearing on your nails, toes or perhaps both?

I’m am so digging the silvery nails. I loved them ever since I saw them on Lauren Conrad of the Hills. Never found out the brand though. =[

I'm so sorry to hear that you have been under the weather. Here's to a speedy recovery, miss lovely Mimi! Lots of fluids, tea and soups for you, dear. x

Nice! I started noticing this as well, and was wondering if the metallics were coming back for real. So I’m glad that you covered it, now I know that I wasn’t hallucinating and can go ahead and start wearing it on both finger nails and toes! I love it, because it reminds me of my early teen years, it was really in back then and it’s nice to see it making a full circle and coming back! =)

    Hey Mimi!
Thank you for your comment too! I haven’t had time to leave comments on any blogs lately, and you know what it’s like: once you stop commenting for a few days, it’s as though your blog never existed! But you are one of my faithful readers, and I wanted to thank you for that! Love you!
Ohhh, I love 80s beauty trends! And the metallic nail varnish is just so cool! Lately I have been taking a break from all those dark colours too and have been wearing nudes etc… I used to have a metallic pale blue nail varnish, but it had such a weird smell that I better chucked it.. I think it was too old :D
I definitely have to try out silver, I really liked it in the pictures you showed here!
I usually don’t wear nail varnish on my toenails, because if I have the same colour on both hands and feet it’s a bit too “coordinated”, if you know what I mean, and if I have different colours on hands and feet it’s even stranger :D

This is an amazing style, I was enjoying checking out new styles from http://www.style.com and found some… pretty wacky stuff. Anways, is bright baby pink, or soft shiny pink good for a 13 year old with a date? Thxx

    Sincerely a style fanatic,
    Hannah

Hello Hannah! I think pink is a perfect color, whether shiny or not is really your preference!
    Good luck on your day!
