How to Have Thicker, Fuller Hair

It all started when Alex, my boyfriend complained to me about his shampoo, saying that although it was suppose to give him volume, it didn’t make any difference what so ever. So, being the curious person that I am, I started doing my independent research to see if in fact there were any over the counter products that give body to fine, limp hair. We tried many different shampoos and conditioners but only a few had proved to show some significant results.  Today I’ll share the results with you:
-    The most inexpensive shampoo on the market that works pretty well at giving body to flat hair is actually any baby shampoo. Baby shampoos are gentle enough to wash your hair, but they also break down all the residue that’s piled on to your hair as well as give you lots of volume.

-    Another amazing product that works wonders at lifting fine hair is Aveda Pure Abundance Volumizing [SinglePic not found]Shampoo and Conditioner. I love Aveda products, but was a bit hesitant prior to making the purchase because those products are very  pricey, so I talked to the sales associate at Aveda, to get more information on how it works and whether the results are worth the price. Originally I was just going to purchase the shampoo but they explained that the conditioner is actually a crucial step in getting the volume due to the lightweight kaolin clay formula. Anyway…I was sold to the idea, and spent $50 for both products. My boyfriend loved it, because he noticed a definite volume boost in his hair. He also got complimented on his hair a lot, so we knew the results were noticeable!

-    I talked to my hair dresser to get some of her advice on the topic. She swears by a hair loss treatment line called Nioxin. You can check their website: www.nioxin.com. They offer a variety of products that provide intense scalp therapy that gives your hair all the necessary vitamins, proteins and amino acids , thus promoting healthy hair growth. It is widely used by people that have thinning or bolding hair, as well [SinglePic not found]as people that are recovering from chemo therapy. I checked reviews on this line and couldn’t believe my eyes, they are very high! 90% of Nioxin users are very happy with the line and have been using it for years. Nioxen system 2 cleanser seems to be the most popular product, and it only costs about $15 and can be purchased either online or at any beauty supply. Apparently it makes you re-grow hair, so it’s not just about giving you a onetime volume. Remember that Nioxin will take at least a few weeks to show some results, however those will be long term.

Having said all that, I still want you to bear in mind that different products work for different people, so the only way to find out what works for  you is to try it yourself . If you know of any great products that have worked for you let me know, and I’ll share those with my readers. Thank you and Good luck!
