I've been waiting since the 80's for this day, since my hair is naturally curly and I have a mega-ton of it. It's hard, even when I flat-iron my hair for it not to be BIG. When some of the 80's trends started coming back, I started holding my breath for the big hair. As someone who has been there before, I want to say that people should remember that mousse is generally volumizing while gel is not, and to get a good hairspray to apply at the roots that is also touchable, like any of the Bumble and Bumble hairsprays (Aqua-Net is not your friend here). You can get great volume in a hurry by drying your hair upside down and giving the underside a good spray before you flip it back up. Hooray!
